NISSIN RAO SHOYU |
Powder Seasoning: salt, monosodium glutamate, spices, chicken and pork extract, sodium carbonate, hydrolyzed soy and wheat protein, caramel color, vegetable extract, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate, green onion Liquid Seasoning: soy sauce, lard, pork and chicken extract, salt, sugar, spices, monosodium glutamate, tocopherols Granish: roast pork, bamboo shoot Spicyness: 1 Comment: This is my first ramen review doing a ramen that actually includes real meat! The meat packet when opened looks disgusting. Looks like liquid fat with chunks in it. Yuck. After everything was added to the ramen the smell was incredible. The broth was a rich brown color and had a meaty salty taste. With every bite I kept getitng bits of pork in every bite. Incredible. This tasted so much like a beef stew. The only draw back is that its a bit salty, but I love salt. This might be the best ramen I have reviewed. Overall: 5 |
NISSIN DONBEI TEMPURA SOBA |
Season Packet: sugar, salt, monosodium glutamate, bonito extract, hyrolyzed wheat and corn protein, soy sauce, disodium 5' ribonucleotides, caramel color, spices, fish sauce, sodium acetate, canola oil, lactose, disodium succinate, seaweed extract, ribofravin, thiamine mononitrate, natural flavors Garnish: tempura(wheat flour, palm oil, salt, monosodium glutamate, shrimp, laver, egg, leek Spicyness: 1 Comment: Recently I have tried several of the Japanese ramen, here is another by Nissin. The noodles were made of buckwheat and with this type of noodle they were kinda grainy in texture. After the piece of tempura soaks up a lot of the broth, it expands to about the size of the bowl. But inside is the treat. Several shrimp, pieces of egg and leeks also await to be eaten. The broth had a slight fishy flavor, but mostly was an intense salt flavor. The sodium content clocks in at a whopping 108% of your daily salt intake. Overall a good ramen except for the salt. Overall: 4 |
