I have tried many Tom Yum ramens and I have had mixed results. I know this is a popular flavor in SE Asia but it can be hard to make a good ramen. There is a little fork included in case you do not have one handy. I find them pretty useless but of course if this is all you have it is a life saver. The broth had a sour taste which is typical of Tom Yum but also there was a nice spicyness in the background. With a whopping 2290mg of sodium this is heavily salted ramen but also plenty of MSG to back it up. The noodles held up well and the veggies added some crunchy texture. I do not know what it is but with these cup ramens they always seem to have corn in them, even the American varities. Overall your typical cup ramen. Overall: 3 |
