| Country of Origin: Taiwan Package Size: 90g Soup Base: salt, monosodium glutamate, onions Oil Packet: edible oil(oil was brown in color) Spicyness: 2 Comment: I am not sure of the brand name of this ramen but it is made by Tainan Foods in Taiwan and this is what I am going with. The ingredient list leaves much to be desired. I do not know why the manufacturers cannot do a better job with this. In the left hand corner of the package is a picture of Popeye the sailor man carrying a bowl of steaming ramen. Quite funny since normally he carries a can of spinach. Obviously they are premoting the healthynest of eating ramen, salt and MSG yummy. Also on the back and I quote "Mushroom Dan Dan is a daily neccessity for every family which is applicable for breakfast, midnight snack, picnic or entertaining guests". Funny stuff, but on to the review. The broth had a meaty flavor which is odd since the flavor is suppose to be mushroom. A strong salty flavor and a slight sour flavor is also present. There was an abundance of mushrooms which provided some texture. The noodles were quite good they remained chewy and did not get overally soggy. Putting the bad English translation to the side this was a really good ramen. Overall: 5 |
