Paul Bond 11 C Fancy Dress Calfskin (High Heel Alert!) Mint, never worn, brand new in the box. This is a very sleek-lookin' boot, and the highest Bond heel I have ever featured on this site. (Comin' right to the point, the heel measures 3½" at the rear, in a vertical line from top heel edge to the floor--and I believe this is the Paul Bond #7 heel, plus a couple millimeters.) These boots have superb quality black calfskin, and "embossing" on the shafts--which makes for a dressy-lookin' boot. The toe is fairly narrow "D". The shafts are 15½" high, in a black that's an exact match to the vamps. A stand-out feature on these boots is the embossed stitch pattern on the shafts (Examine the pictures closely to see detail on this embossing). Narrow dips. Boot pulls. (Circumference around top of shafts is 15½".) All the hallmarks of Bond bootmaking: generously pegged soles, leather lining. However, this boot technically qualifies as a Bond "second" (the first and probably last such I'll ever list on this site.) Note in the final picture (red dot above) a small tear in outer instep on left boot. I had a long talk with Mr. Bond about this: He felt that the boot had so much to recommend it in quality and styling that he was willing to put it out for sale with this "glitch". This tear measures about ¼ - ½", has been "treated/mended" there in the Bond shop and Mr. Bond assures me it will not spread or lengthen. This defect is simply not noticeable unless you bring the boot pretty darn close up to eyeline. Anyhow, to make a long story short, this "flaw" reduces the price substantially. It may be a good chance to try that "super high heel" boot at a much more affordable price. $460
