The TRAM 644E is the workhorse of the HE shop's equipment. It can be outfitted with a fork attachment and lift approximately 10,000 lbs, or a bucket and lift approximately 7,500 lbs of soil, rock, etc. The TRAM 644E is built by John Deere.

The TX51-19M LRTF Terex 5k (Light Capability Rough Terrain Forklift). It is equipped with either front (two wheel), crab, or 4-wheel steer to aid it in tight positions. It is also outfitted with an attachment to allow it to manipulate trailers and howitzers from the front to help in positioning them. The LCRTF is equipped with a ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) in case of rollover. The LRTF is also useful in loading and unloading ISO containers, because it can fit inside and the sideshift on the fork assembly allows it to pick up loads from the far left to the far right. The 420D is a commercially produced backhoe and small front bucket truck. The excavator can be used to aid grunts in creating trenches, digging trash ditches, or preparing ground for underground pipelines. It's usefulness is only governed by the imagination of the operator and his supervisor. | |

The D7G Medium Bulldozer is produced by Caterpillar. It is used mainly used for creating 'hull defilades' to park tanks in to allow only the turret to be above ground. It is also useful in clearing & grubbing' operations. It can be outfitted with a winch, a ripper, or a draw bar.

The LRT-110 7 1/2 ton crane is the air-mobile crane at HE. It can be embarked on truck, trailer, or plane to go anywhere and do anything at 15,000 pounds or under. They are frequently used for moving ordnance and working with helicopter engines. More | |
The 621b scraper by Caterpillar is one of the best items of equipment to use in an earthworking project. The scraper can self-load, be loaded by a bucket loader (i.e. TRAM 644e or 1155e), or be push-loaded by a bulldozer (i.e. D7G). The scraper weighs in at 63,000 lbs. and can haul up to 48,000 lbs. of material. The scraper also spreads material to a desired depth determined by how much the apron is opened on your depositing passes. | |

The 613C AWDS is supposed to be air-droppable. It may be, but I don't see us doing it any time soon. The "Water Wagon" is an off-the-shelf piece of equipment. It is made by Caterpillar Corporation. The USMC version holds approximately 3000 gallons of water that can be spread with corner sprayers that can lightly water to nearly flood a road or project area. |
