Remove the fuel return line from your rail fuel pressure regulator. Remove the fuel return line where it connects to the fuel tank return line stub. Discard this fuel line hose. Next, Install the Vortech FMU on the firewall, just in back of the right side of the throttle body. Mark your holes; using a hex head bit and electric drill, screw in the self-tapping screws. Now just hang the regulator with the screws loose. Next, measure your 5/16-fuel line from the stock fuel regulator to the FMU and from the FMU to the fuel tanks return line and cut to size. Remove the FMU and use hose clamps and tighten both hoses to the FMU. Screw in the FMU to the firewall. Hose clamp one to the rail fuel regulator and one to the fuel tank return line stub. Install the FMU vacuum line to a suitable vacuum source on the intake manifold after the throttle body.
