TUT CAMPBELL - LEAD VOCALS AND GUITARS

Tut Campbell is no stranger to the music scene, having grown up playing in bands in the metropolitan Atlanta area. After several trips to the holy land in the early 1970s, Tut began writing Christian rock songs. In 1976 he opened Atlanta's premier antique guitar store originally called Vintage Music Instruments and later was called Dixie Guitars. In the summer of 2000 he formed the band Resurrection Express for the special purpose of creating this CD, recording it in the studio over an October weekend.

This CD not only showcases Tut's original songs, but also highlights a few of his favorite blues and christian songs. Thanks to Ozark Recording and Jamey Wright for his engineering on this CD and for his keyboard and organ additions on a couple of the songs. Also special thanks to Jeannie Monteith for her keyboard and vocal additions. Also to Ben, Rob and Alan for their fine musicianship. Lastly, to Patrick Tuohy for the hook to "ALIVE" and to Rob Henderson and David Dasher for their inspiration on writing bridges.

Tut still performs today and now resides with his wife Jeannie Monteith and their eight cats in the serene Ozark Mountains of Northern Arkansas where he also enjoys his passion for amateur astronomy and sailing.
