Welcome to my photography page |
I hope you enjoy the scenes of life in my little town (as well as some at or on the way to my family's house in Portland, OR). I am definitely an amateur, but having a good quality digital camera (Olympus D-550) has allowed me to indulge a life-long passion to a much greater degree than ever before. |
This is of two large cedar trees behind my parent's home in rural Oregon City. |
These are some blackberry brambles, only recently growing folliage again, along a metal barn. I thought the contrast was beautiful. |
This is a local church dating into the early 20th century if not before (I haven't had the chance to go inside and read about it yet). They were getting ready for Easter this year by having a living cross made of daffodils. |
James took this idyllic scene on a pond about a quarter mile from my parent's home. Two Canadian geese were enjoying an early spring swim! |
James also took this shot of the geese, just paddling calmly along. What a peaceful scene this is! Definitely my favorite of these two fowl. |
James takes the credit once again, the geese, finally realizing they weren't alone, took off into the setting sun. An awesome shot! Mayhap we have 2 budding amateur photographers? |
Two wood ducks enjoying the calm waters of a local marina. |
A cluster of ferns growing on the lush hillside behind my parent's home. |
A few fishing and pleasure boats still linger at one local marina during the off-season. Soon this will be filled and bustling. For now though, only the sea gulls and ducks make small waves on the glassy water. |
Taken from a different location you can see the few scattered houses along the edge of this sleepy little town. This was one of the most gorgeous spring days I've seen here since we moved. Not even a breath of wind where there is normally much! |
