Welcome to my photography page!
These are the remnants of an old pier site or ferry docking (we haven't yet found out which) facing the Columbia river (in the distance are the foothills of the Washington side).
The buds on a pussy-willow tree have shed their fur and are ready to mature to their full glory.
Two bald eagles were soaring amazingly low to the ground on this particular day.  Our treat!  They're certainly breathtaking!
Three stalks of bluebells bravely push their way into the yet-chilly world.
A viewpoint overlooking the mighty Columbia River as it ambles to the sea. On this particular day we were rewarded with the view of a massive ocean-going container ship steaming upriver, bound for the docks of Portland.
In the foreground a crowd of sea gulls is gathering, waiting for the ship to pass and hoping it discharges kitchen scraps (a common practice on incoming ships).  These are among the largest of the ships we see and tower over every building in town (the tallest of which is only 8 stories).
I hope you've enjoyed my foray into photography.  Keep checking back, there are always new pictures!
