Hi! Now that you have met my pride and joy, I guess it's
time to meet me and my hubby. My name is Karen and I'm 41. I began chatting at Parents Place in August '95 but since most of my online time is spent in toy and ebay sales, I never chat anymore. Yes, my hair is naturally curly, but just don't ask me about the natural color *LOL*. All the other really important (*haha*) stuff
about me is below.
This is what I looked like when I learned I was pregnant
with TWINS!! I married my wonderful husband, Glenn, in March '93. After the boys were born, I returned to my full-time job
only to discover that I wanted to spend more time with Jonathan and Joshua. They were almost a year old when I finally got into a job-sharing position where I work half-time.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life." John 3:16
Parents Prayer - a prayer that has a
lot of meaning to me which I hope you will enjoy....and another picture
of Jonathan and Joshua is here too!

I'm living back home with Mom. I know it sounds strange
to most people, but it was part of the "plan" when I decided I wanted to work only part time
so I could spend more time with the boys. It's a big help on us financially
and logistically. Mom is a huge help with the cooking, cleaning,
and babysitting. We have always had a great relationship and I really like
living in the house where I've spent all but 7 years of my life.
My favorite past-time is playing in the sunshine with my boys,
whether it be in our backyard, at a park/playgound, or at the beach! We love walking
on the beach, examining what the tide brought in, swimming, and playing in the sand.
I LOVE to dance! I taught and choreographed aerobic dance
at the YMCA for 10 years.
I met some wonderful women (seldom was there a man in class) and it was a tough
decision to finally "retire". It was certainly a load lifted from my
shoulders (choreography took a lot of time), but I still miss it,
especially when I hear songs to which we had dance routines. In June of 1996 I started taking
step aerobics 2-3 times a week and thoroughly enjoyed it! Now that we changed gym memberships the step classes are not that great so I mostly work out at home on my elliptical stepper and treadmill.
As a youngster, I swam competitively, even at the
Junior Olympics, and before the boys were born, I did a lot of fitness swimming.
I still love to swim, but rarely go to the gym so I don't get much swimming in these days. Additionally,
I taught swimming to all ages for 10 years at the YMCA.
I am a fanatic about garage sales; I'm out there bright and early
Saturday morning getting all kinds of great bargains on toys and clothes for the boys...
makes me never want to shop retail! ...and I rarely do. I even get my clothes at yard sales and thrift stores. My yard sale addiction has turned into a part time "job". I now enjoy finding great items to sell on eBay. You can see my items on auction.
Most of my online time is spent selling on Ebay and trading/selling fastfood toys.
