| Zillions Twixt 1.0 "Zillions of Games" is a software package that plays a wide variety of games. It comes with its own scripting language, so the user can define almost any abstract game. Many users have done just that. The Zillions website has hundreds of games users have written code for. Twixt is now available there as well. Here are a couple of caveats: * The Zillions Twixt package is free for download, but you need to purchase Zillions in order to use it. It costs about $25 to purchase the registration key. * Unlike nearly every other Zillions game, The Twixt computer opponent does NOT know the object of the game. It will make legal moves, but it will not recognize a win or draw. This is just a virtual board for playing someone else over the Net. Some future version of ZTwixt might include the game object. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Features include: * Automatic linking, with an option to remove and rearrange links manually * The 'pie rule' is supported. * The "Switch Piece Set" option will change the pegs from X shapes to O shapes. Some players may prefer the classic O shapes, although the links do not quite touch these peg shapes. Your choice has no effect on what your opponent sees. * Three different screen images sizes, to accomodate nearly any monitor display: 492x401, 670x551, or 984x802 * "Flipped board" option (black border rows top and bottom) * German language version. This all means two players can play a game using different languages, different screen image sizes, different board perspectives, and differently shaped pegs! * Handicap boards: 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 rows!
