A couple of very difficult 12x12 puzzles
If you're new to Twixt, you might prefer to try Alex Randolph's 40 puzzles. They show many of the common tactical patterns that can occur in a game. Several of them are relatively easy, especially at the beginning. But these two puzzles are very deep. Puzzle I solution is 9-ply (5 moves for Black and 4 moves for White), and puzzle II solution is 15-ply!

There are a couple of differences in format, between Randolph's puzzles and mine. For one thing, the coordinates are flipped. But the main difference is, Randolph's puzzles are on a 12x12 section of a larger board, but these are on 12x12 boards. There are no holes at L1, L12, or A12, because they would be corner holes here. Remember, in Twixt, you may not play in your opponent's border rows.

I plan to post the solutions as applets. If you want to see the solutions now, or if you have any question or comment,
