In the early 90's Joe Bruce(Violent J) and Joey Utsler(Shaggy 2 Dope) began their first band together the Inner City Posse. During this time they released their first CD "Dog Beats". In 1991 they were visited by the Dark Carnival and changed their name to Insane Clown Posse. They were told to give six special messages to whoever would listen and decided to do so by releasing six albums, also known as the Joker Cards, each with its own message. They released their first album as Insane Clown Posse, "The Carnival of Carnage". Then in 1992 they released "Beverly Kills 50187", which was followed by the second Joker Card "The Ring Master". After that they made the CD "Terror Wheel" and signed on to Jive Records. They then released "The Riddlebox" and found out Jive wasn't going to release the CD anywhere but Michigan so they assembled a team of people to go out and tell people about their music personally. After the left Jive Records they signed on with Hollywood Records and released "The Great Milenko"...but 6 hours after its release the owner of Hollywood Records, Disney, recalled the record and then ICP signed with Island records and re-released "The Great Milenko". ICP took a break from recording and joined the WWF(now the WWE), to wrestle with the Oddities. Soon after that they left the WWF and went to the WCW for a short period of time. Then they released the next CD "The Amazing Jekel Brothers". After that they released their own comic book with Chaos Comics, helped Twiztid release "Mostasteless", and made the JCW(Juggalo Championship Wrestling), and made a movie "Big Money Hustlas". They later released the double album "Bizaar, Bizaar" and also released "Dark Lotus". Since 2000 they have been having an event known as "The Gathering of the Juggalos" with the 2002 Gathering being the largest ever. In 2002, they released the 6th and final Joker Card, "The Wraith", which told about the long wondered about "Butterfly" and that they beleive in God. |
