1989 GMC Sierra SLE 3500 1-Ton Extended Cab Pickup Truck

Here are additional pictures of my GMC truck for sale.

The big advantage is that this truck fits well in any community. If you live somewhere with deed restrictions, a condo complex, or restrictive covenants, odds are you are not allowed to have trucks larger than half ton or three quarter ton. The idea of course is to keep the flatbed work trucks out. With this truck, you still have the one ton hauling but the looks of a half ton to blend into the community.

Motorcycle is not included.  However, notice this a full-dressed Gold Wing and it doesn't even notice it is there. Check the molding strip and the tops of the tires. Then compare to the picture below.

This is 2-1/2 yards of dirt in the 8 foot bed.  It is squatting some, but this is about 5500 pounds of dirt.  That is about the same amount of weight in the bed as what the truck weighs empty.  Basically, you could take a half-ton Chevy pickup, set it in the bed of this one, and drive away, provided it would fit.  If you want a truck that can haul, this is the one.  This is a lot of dirt. If you notice the molding along the side, you can see it is nearly level fro front tire to rear tire. Even with this weight, the truck was very drivable and stoppable, unlike a half ton where it feels like the front tires are off the ground and you need two blocks to stop.

While I have used this truck to haul, it is not a "work truck" or a trashed out crew truck for a business.  The interior is clean and straight.  My family does ride in here and everything works.  The air conditioning had a new compressor put on this summer, charged with R-134, and puts out cold air.  The stereo is a Pioneer CD player. Cruise control works, windows work, power door locks work, and so on.

The folding rear seat and the slide open rear window are nice touches. The paper towels, the jumper cables, and the bottle jack are not included.

Here are the scratches on the tailgate. This is what happens when you help a friend. you can also see the small hole poked on the left side. The Reese 10,000 lb receiver is included but not the ball and hitch. The rear is wired for the 6 connector round plug and the 4 connector straight plug.

Here lives the GMC / Chevrolet 7.4 liter 454 cid engine. If you notice, there is fairly roomy for working under the hood like changing plugs and such. The air cleaner is in the way, but it is removed for most maintenance anyway. The air conditioning compressor is new and the whole system was cleaned and filled with R-134 Freon in Aug. 2003.
