My first ship, USS O'Brien (DD-725), was a Destroyer. Destroyers were called the Greyhounds of the Fleet. I served nearly 4 and one half years aboard her. O'Brien was assigned to Destroyer Division(DesDiv) 132 and Destroyer Squadron (DesRon) 13. O'Brien has been decommissioned.
