Black Walnut Karmels

3 cups brown sugar

2 cups light corn syrup

1 cup butter

3/4 cup condensed milk

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 1/3 cup coarsley chopped black walnuts

Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring

constantly. Cook until hard crack stage on your candy thermometer stirring to prevent

scorching. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 butter 8

inch square pans and cool. Should make 98 pieces.
