Mumps
This is a very old fashioned Ninilchik
recipe for candy. Unknown source of
origin but it has been around
for generations. Simple to make with
<relatively few ingredients. I always wondered why them called them mumps2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter
1/4 cup molasses
2 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. Vinegar
Boil ingredients to the hard crack
stage. Pour immediately into a buttered
large pan. Allow to cool and break
into pieces.
