Founded in 1873 at the Lewis School for Girls in Oxford, Mississippi, Delta Gamma credits it's existence to happenstance. Three women formed the fraternity, established a name, wrote the ritual and constitution, and when classes began agian in January, added new members. UCSB added a chapter of Delta Gamma in 1950.
