Outline:
Set in a Midlands hospital, it was much the same (although this was denied by Emergency - Ward 10 makers ATV) as Emergency but on a smaller scale. Smaller sets, smaller cast, until veiwers picked up and a bigger, permanent set at Elstree was made.

hello.
i saw your site about general hospital and i wanted to add that i really like it too. i am only in my 30's but i remember watching it with my adopted mother when i was a kid. i really liked it. i wish they would show it again on itv3 or 4 or that we could get it on vhs or dvd. i expect it is not too dated. thank you

Editor Writes: At present we are unable to find any trace of General Hospital on video/DVD. As ATV were taken over by Central in the early 1980's and then Carlton took them over since, it would seem very unlikly that this series will ever see the light of day again. But you could always try and lobby Carlton to see if they actually hold the copyright?
