Anyways, pretty tough choice, but finally decided to end the indecision & go w/ the Nikon setup. Picked up an used D70 body last night from a local (Craigslist) seller & paired it with an old Tamron lens that Aaron H. (EAP '05) is letting me borrow until I decide on/pick up some new lenses.
Some great inspiration provided by Gilad who i.m.h.o. shoots some really amazing stuff off the D70 platform... Admittedly, I'm sure it's more a product of his years of experience, innate talent, & great patience with setting up some of those shots (in addition probably to some dope skills w/ Photoshop haha), than the camera itself. Nevertheless, it's still nice to have a benchmark to apsire for & some notion of the potential of combining the camera w/ a skilled eye behind it.
//: musak [not] for the masses:// a little too much hype surrounding it, but the legendary zoukclub in singapore did draw some serious talent. website has an extensive collection of resident & guest dj mix broadcasts; genres cover hiphop, trip hop, breakbeat, nu-beat, Brazilian, latin, afro-centric beats, garage, funk-soul, & a wide variety of house.
