Born 22 years ago on the 10th of july, almost 3 weeks late, out came Jenny Peters into this world. She found herself faced with two happy parents, a rebelious older sister and a sweet bully older brother. For 19 years she lived with them in a small town called Enkhuizen, in the Netherlands. There she tried out many different sports while rolling through primary school and VWO (Dutch higher education system). Landing for brief times on soccer, ballroom-dancing, aerobics and more of those lesser games. The last couple of years with her family the older brother and sister swarmed out to find their own livings leaving her a spoiled only child for a while. Eventually, she as well had the urge to fly from the nest, and taking the easiest way out of Enkhuizen flew over to Amsterdam (by train) to settle in her parents second house with a good friend. The student life began, and she broke off all ties with Enkhuizen accept for her parents. Exciting in her new life, she decided to go even further away from everybody she knew for a while and went to York, England. York was a place of infinite social fun and 'finding-your-place-in-life'-stuff. Studying was managed, but the experience left her changed mainly on a personal level. New found serenity would be exagerating, but at least she knows herself and her goals better than before. Now she is very happy with her life in the city, though when she finishes her studies, she'll look for a smaller town to settle. But uni will take until early 2004 to finish. She finished her job-placementship at an Advertising Agency in april 2002. Years of crunching theory into her head finally had the chance to explode into practice. It worked out really well. She learned a lot, enjoyed it a lot, and feels that she has made a usefull contribution to the company. Currently she isliving with her boyfriend, Patrick (just look at the many picture links). We've been living together since december 29th 2003. So far we're enjoying it!
When she lived in the city she also found a new sport, a real sport, a sport to stick with for good: Ultimate Frisbee. Is it a sport or a life-style? Not quite sure yet, but it sure is fun and good exercise! |
