This section has a short summary for each saga in the Dragonball Series. Each saga is no more than a few paragraphs right now.

DBZ-Saiya-jin Saga

 The saiya-jin saga starts out showing a space pod flying towards the earth and crashing near a farm. Out of the pod comes a saiya-jin named Raditz. Disposing of the farmer that confronted him, he used a small device on his ear called a scouter. With this device, he located a strong power. When Raditz meets up with that power and finds it to be Piccolo instead of Goku. Piccolo tries to fry Raditz, but the great saiya-jin seems to be too powerful. Detecting an even larger power on his scouter, Raditz flies off, leaving the shocked Piccolo behind. Meanwhile, at Goku's house, Goku knocks down a huge tree and brings it back for firewood. Chichi then tells him that he'd better find Gohan and go to Muten Roshi's place. Taking Kintoun, the yellow flying cloud, Goku finds Gohan and they head off. Arriving at Roshi's, Goku introduces his son Gohan to everyone. Among the group is Bulma, Kulilin, Oolong, Turtle, and Roshi himself. Raditz arrives at the scene and tries to convince Goku to join him. This is the time that we find out that Goku's real name is Kakkorot and he is a saiya-jin from the planet Vegeta as well. After refusing the offer, Raditz takes down Goku and kidnaps Gohan. Piccolo arrives a little later. Although being great enemies, both Goku and Piccolo know that they can't defeat Raditz alone. They go off and battle with Raditz which results in both Raditz and Goku being killed. Piccolo flies off with Gohan to train him because of the great power he displayed in the battle. The other Z-Senshi, Kulilin, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu go with Yajirobe to Kami-sama's palace for special training as well. Goku trains with Kaio-sama in the afterlife. A year passes and the other two saiya-jin that Raditz mentioned arrive. Goku is wished back and the Z-Senshi battle it out. Before Goku arrives, everyone except for Gohan and Kulilin are dead. About to be killed by Nappa, Gohan is rescued by Kintoun. Goku then fights and defeats Nappa. Vegeta, disgusted in the way Nappa disgraced the saiya-jin, kills him. Goku and Vegeta then fly off and fight. Having to become an Oozaru, Vegeta finally and truly gains the upper hand. That is, until Gohan and Kulilin arrive. They attempt to cut of his tail, but Vegeta dodges. Suprising everyone, it is Yajirobe that succeeds shrinking Vegeta back down to his original size. Goku, who can no longer fight, gives Gohan the confidence he needs. While Gohan and Vegeta are fighting, Goku gives Kulilin what's left of the genki-dama that he attempted to use on Oozaru Vegeta. Kulilin fires and misses. Gohan then bounces it back and sends Vegeta flying. Vegeta miraculously survives and beats up everyone pretty much. Gohan then goes Oozaru and thrashes Vegeta up a bit before his tail is cut off. Not being able to avoid the fall, Vegeta is crush by Oozaru Gohan while he's changing back. Crawling to his space pod, Vegeta escapes because of Goku convincing Kulilin to spare him.
