The Grillers lost 13-4 to the Hastings Hawks on Saturday afternoon in the consolation bracket of the Dewey Tauer Classic in Red Wing. Four Griller errors led to five unearned runs and the Hawks put up four runs in the first, one in the second, and two in the third to jump out to a 7-2 lead. Ultimate pulled within 7-4, but Hastings pulled away from there with timely hitting and solid defense. The Grillers scored twice in the second, both on a single by Nordmann. Ultimate scored twice more in the fourth on an RBI-double by Rocheleau and a long sacrifice fly by Kotschevar. Kotschevar, Nordmann, and Andy Waletzko finished 2-for-4 in the game. Paul Eich took the loss on the mound.
