Game Summary

The Ultimate Sports Grillers finished the weekend 2-0 after a ninth inning, come-from-behind victory over the Minneapolis Lakers in an exhibition game on Sunday afternoon and Dick Putz Field.  After trailing most of the game and 4-2 going into the bottom of the ninth, Aaron Rocheleau singled and Andy Waletzko doubled to put runners on second and third with one out.  After a pop out and then a walk to Jason Wald to load the bases, Ryan Quinn singled to deep short and the attempted throw from the shortstop to get the force out at second sailed down the right field line.  Rocheleau and Waletzko scored easily and pinch runner Paul Eich came all the way around to score the winning run.  The Grillers managed nine hits in the game, led by Lincoln Haugen's 2-for-3 performance.  Brent Schloe also homered for the Grillers in the first inning and Mike Holman pitched four innings in relief of Rocheleau to pick up the win on the mound.

Minneapolis jumped out 1-0 quickly in the first, but Schloe tied the game with a solo homerun in the bottom of the first.  The Lakers then scored three unearned runs in the top of the fifth to take a 4-1 lead.  In the bottom of the sixth, Jason Kotschevar doubled off the wall in right center field and later scored on a wild pitch to cut into the lead.  The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the ninth, when the Grillers made their comeback.
