Album Rate: 3.5 out of 5 Stars

2 Deep are made up of Roy C & Marty Mal outta Knoxville, TN. The album features production by Big 6 and Olympic medalist Lawrence Johnson aka Lojo.

1. Intro

2. 2 Deep-- this track has a simple drum beat with a little keyboard action as well. Nothing really stands out on this track.

3. Bring It-- this track has a mid tempo beat. Roy C and Marty Mal basically rap about how they are two of the tightest on the mic and how they can't be beat. Marty Mal sounds a little like 2Pac on one of his verses. An OK track.

4. Coming Up-- Roy C and Marty Mal rap about they about to hit it big and for people to quit hatin on them. The beat got some mixin and scratchin on it. It's a bumpable track.

5. FatBack Slim's Juke Joint (skit)

6. The Game-- the beat is this slow little piano and drum combo. This is a real slow track that has the feel of a R&B song. This is one of those deep songs that's supposed to make ya think about life. Marty Mal lays down a stand-out verse on here. Tight track.

7. Baby Girl-- this is another slow, laid back track with a piano and bassline beat. Olympic medalist Lawrence Johnson aka Lojo sings the hook on this song. Both Marty Mal and Roy C lay down some tight verses on here. Another pretty good track that has more of an love R&B song than a rap song.

8. Riding In My Cadillac-- this is the first single from the album. The beat on this one is bumpin. The chorus on this one is done in the style of that song "T-Shirt's and Panties"....t-shirts and my panties on....well, this one goes "riding in my cadillac..." Marty Mal drops some nice verses on here. It's a pretty good track.

9. Where My People At (f/ Seek)-- this one is an little more up tempo than what I've come across on this album thus far. This is something they'd probably play at a party cause it's not even fast enough to get any play up in the clubs. Not really feelin this one.

10. U Know U Did It (skit)

11. 2 Wild-- this track has a mid tempo beat. Big 6 lays down some vocals for the hook. There really isn't anything that stands out on this track.

12. Life-- this track has a more laid back beat which pretty much consists of a steady bassline. This is another one of those deep tracks. The hook goes "life you gotta live it, death it's a given, pain you will go thru it, you know that you can do it". Roy C brings some faster rap which sounds tight on the slower beat. Nice bumpable track.

13. Haters-- this one has a got a very tight faster tempo beat with some church bells. Roy C drops the first verse and raps faster as the verse goes on. Marty Mal is really startin to remind me of Krazy or 2Pac's sound. The track is about how they goin the make it because of all the haters.

14. Shake It-- the production on this one sounds different than what is on the rest of the album. The beat sounds like a country music/Hee Haw/Oriental mix. It's hard to describe. It's a pretty tight track even though it's an ass shakin track.

15. They Didn't Know-- this track has got a lot of mixing and scratchin on it. Roy C drops a pretty tight verse on here. It's got kind of a get crunk feel to it. It's an all right track.

16. Smokin' & Drinkin'-- the track starts off with 2 Deep talkin about how since this is the last track, they'll talk about somethin more serious. The hook then starts with "I like smokin & I like drinkin". The middle of the track has more talkin about smokin weed. The track then resumes with more of this ode to alcohol and weed. Nice track.

17. U Know U Did It (bonus track)-- the final track has got a very nice haunted house type beat. The hook sing-rappin "U know U did it" in a Cee-Lo style. The track is about finding out who got the girl preganant and Roy C and Marty Mal say that they hit it but they ain't the daddy. Funny track.

Overall, the Roy C and Marty Mal got some skills. I thought Marty Mal outshined Roy C on the mic throughout the album but Roy C came on strong on the later part of the album. The album has its standout tracks but it also has its share of what seems like filler tracks.
