1. “Dirty Southside” has a pretty up tempo beat some of that futuristic bubbly head bobber shit. Guerilla Maab starts out solid on this one Dougie & Trae both drop good verses for this track good shit by both of em. They get assisted by Hawk & Chris Ward on this track and they keep up nicely on this track both come on point making a great opener for the album. The hook gots that Roger Troutman feel going to it some pretty tight Dirty Third feel on it.
2. “Everybody Gone Know” more of that ride bouncy type shit some shit that could hit TV type shit. This track features Lil B from SLAB and he comes in with a verse towards the middle of thangs, a straight verse on his part nothing too great. Dougie and Trae shine nicely on this track they both drop some pretty tight flows, the hook is on that singy tip done by Trae. Good thing about Guerilla Maab they multi talented singers and rappers all in one another solid track right here.
3. “Neva Gone Change” real laid back some of the mellow ride out type of shit. Trae starts things out on that singy tip he rips it up pretty nicely on the hook. The flows follow up and Trae hits its pretty hard letting it be known that they have yet to change from day 1 and they going to do what they do. Dougie D comes good on this as well, another pretty hard track right here no let down by the Maab so far.
4. “F.A.N (Fake Ass Niggas)” beat is sort of off set sounds like some big top circus/ Egyptian type shit. Trae starting things out once again some more hard spit on his part no surprise. Trae does the hook on this one as well, not bad for the most part but nothing too great. This track features Young Redd and D-Drew and they both come straight for this track nothing you will be talking bout too much in the future. A aight track for the most part right here has a different feel, worth a check to see if its your type of shit.
5. “Im Known To Get Fly” mid tempo type of shit some of that pop yo collar type shit. 3-2 is featured on this one and he comes pretty good, he usually always comes straight on features. The Maab don’t let down too much on this song either they both come pretty good for the most part. Trae handles the hook duties once again some of that ride drop your top type of shit.
6. “Hatin My Song” slow tip once again has that R&B rap feel going to it. Hook kicks in first it has some signy vocals going to it, some of that radio feel type of feel. This track features Z-Ro and he comes pretty good real laid back and to the point. Dougie and Trae come good on this one as well another track that is worth checking out right here.
7. “Aint No Nigga Like Me” another laid back beat right here some just kick back tip type of stuff, has sort of a rock feel with the guitar to it. This track features Lil O and Z-Ro once again. Lil O comes straight on this one nothing to great on his part ive heard a lot better on his part. Z-Ro handles hook business on this one he comes with that ballin type of shit on this one. Trae comes towards the end of this track and spits some pretty nice flows, another track worth a peep right here.
8. “Leave The Game” some pretty good shit on this beat catchy some more laid back ride type of feel. This track features Archie Lee and he spit’s the first verse which comes out pretty good. The hook kicks in it has some female singing just some real mellow shit that soothes the track out. Trae and Dougie finish the next two verses for this track and they both come pretty on point, good solid verse that keep you in tune.
9. “Work Somethin” sort of a mamacita Spanish female type of feel on this beat. This track features SWAB of the singing group Ideal and he comes in with some of them singy vocals to assist the hook and track. A pretty catchy track right here something for the clubs or radio status. Trae & Dougie come pretty good on this one as well, more of a radio clubby type track but its flipped G Maab style.
10. “On Dubz” has sort of that guitar rock rap feel to this beat. This track features Lil Head and Lil B who both come with some decent verses on this track nothing too bad. Trae & Dougie come straight on this one nothing too bad by them either. The hook is pretty plain, just another track about blades right here, more of a filler track right here.
11. “Life As Thugz” real slow beat right here some of that struggle shit you know how it goes. This track has Dougie and Trae spitting on the serious tip. All about world issues to that everyday struggle just that more serious shit by them. The flows come straight on this one if you like the slower tracks by G Maab you will feel this one if not you will probably be skipping.
12. “Neva Give Up” classic track right here brought back from the first G Maab album which made you love them. If you did not get a taste of they early albums you will with this song and the two that follow it. A slower track for the most part a track about never give up and go out for that dream in life
13. “If You Wanna Know” more classic shit right here, another slower track with some ladies assisting on the hook. A track about rocking the shows and having all your shit selling out in the stores. Coming from nothing to something is basically the emphasis on this one.
14. “Southside Story” another classic track from the G Maab debut album, a track about southside life for the most part, a track worth checking for sure, like I said some of the shit that got him to where they are at now.
Disc 2
1. “Year Of The Undadawgs” mellow beat right chea just some more that kick back dirty third shit. This track features Big T the million dollor hook man, he drops a good hook some of the good shit he is prety much known for. Trae & Dougie both drop some good shit on this one, they start disc 2 off on a good point a pretty bumping track right here.
2. “Young Line Leader” has a pretty simple beat some more of that bumpy laid back shit. Hawk is featured on this one and he comes pretty good a good collaboration. Trae handles the hook on this one and it comes out straight not his best work but gets your attention in some ways has sort of a catchy feel to it. Dougie D ends the track out and he spit’s a pretty good verse some more solidness on his part.
3. “Every One Of Yall” sounds like some pop shit right here, some of the shit you could hear Britney doing her thang to. The Maab spit some more of that pimpish tip type shit right here. Trae handles the hook once again, and he spits some pretty good verses on this track for the most part. Dougie comes with that freaky deeky shit on this one nothing to bad by either of them another solid track.
4. “Put Yo Hood Up” has sort of an up tempo party represent type beat going to it. This track features Big Pokey and Jayton of Slab. Big Pokey comes solid on this one, Jayton does about the same nothing too great on their parts but gets the job done for this track. The hook is not too great on this one doesn’t really catch your ear in the way it should. The flows by the Maab come solid for the most part though, another filler right here.
5. “Streets Got Ya” some of that laid back R&B type of shit has a lot of horn effects going to it. The track starts off on the singy tip hook by a female she lays it down on that part of the track. Trae comes pretty hard on the flows for this one some of that up tempo shit on his part. TC is also featured on this track he sounds like a lost member of cash money but he drops some pretty good shit on this one.
6. “Who Dat” has a real up tempo dancy type of feel going to it. This track is one that straight up tempo fast flow shit it features Z-Ro and Pharoah who both rip this track up on their verses some good shit. Trae and Dougie keep up with the track as well both of them drop some tight verses as well. The hook is pretty plain its on that up tempo fast tip shit, a pretty tight track right here some good up tempo fast spits type of shit.
7. “2 All You Hoes” real laid back beat once again some real mellow im bout to tell you a story type shit. Trae starts this track out he singing the hook on this one. He kicks in with a verse next its not too bad its more on a listen up type feel. Dougie drops a straight verse for this one as well, this track trys to get a point across but the track kind of losses your attention which makes you lose the message they try to get across.
8. “Grind Fulltime” some more of that dancy type shit feel to it has some mummy movie feel to it. This track features Raw-D and he comes aight for this one, not really feeling the type of flow. Trae & Dougie come pretty good for this one, nothing too bad on either of their parts. They switch off and on for the hook on this one, nothing too bad on that tip either work a check to see what this one is all about.
9. “Keep You Jammin” has that rap/rock feel to it a lot of live guitar going to it. This track got released at one time or another I had heard it from somewhere. If you have yet to hear it it features Cl Che and Z-Ro who both come on point this track sounds like was recorded awhile back pretty tight shit for the most part. Trae comes hard on this one as well a pretty good track worth peeping right here.
10. “See In My Casket” has one of them slow sentimental type of beats, some that street symphony type of feels. This is pretty much the last real track on the album, Trae & Dougie both drop some decent flows on this track. The hook is not bad but nothing with too much lasting appeal, Trae handles it with that singy tip not too bad on that part. More of a filler track to end things out right here.
11. “Guerilla Pimpin” classic shit right here some of the old G Mabb shit, if you have yet to hear this one go ahead and peep this one everyone comes pretty good.
12. “Shorty Bounce It” another old track from the second G Maab album its some of that strip shake that ass type shit go ahead and peep this one out pretty good track.
13. “Keep Watchin Me” damn this shit is a classic right here when I first heard this one I knew G Mabb was gonna do some big thangs some real classic shit right here don’t miss out if you have yet to hear this track. If you heard this one already you know this track is some of that classic shit.
The production on Rakesh’s part for this album seemed to be on a different tip. Seems like he was being experimental trying a lot of different feels on the beats. He seemed to integrate a lot more live instruments into some of the beats. Its nothing too bad its just different at times it could pass as some pop shit that we would hear on TV or the Radio. Guerilla Maab does not let down on the flows these boys are some of the most talented boys in the game. These boys can rap and sing and whichever they do they usually do not let down. A lot of the tracks just seemed to lack on this album, some of them just had very little to no replay value which is not what fans of Guerilla Maab are used to. The album was two discs but only about a disc full was something you would want to play over. Some of the tracks seemed like they were made to stand out and appeal to a more mainstream radio crowd. Good idea to put the bonus tracks on the album to let newer fans of the Maab get a feel of what they came from to what they are doing now. The album comes out as a pretty solid product but could have been better. More experimental beat wise and rap wise, they tried a lot or things they have not tried on previous albums. Overall probably the worst Guerilla Maab album to date but worth checking out to see what its all about.
