Catra is the Horde's main Force Captain, leading other Hordesmen into battle with the Rebellion.

Catra is one of the few Hordesmen we actually know a bit of background history about. When the
people of the Magicats were taken captive, their Queen went on a search to find them. However,
the Queen was captured too and imprisoned by Hordak. Powerless without an enchanted mask
which granted her the position of Queen, she could not escape. Hordak had given the mask to
Catra, from which she, supposedly obtained the cat-like qualities and certainly her ability to
transform into a ruthless mauve panther. [
62]

Though the Magicats were to see their Queen again, Catra retained the mask and, therefore, her
power of metamorphasis. Unbeknownst to Catra, her mask also has another ability - simply by
saying 'freeze-fire', the mask will power a ray which will cover anything in ice that stands in its path.
She did discover this but, due to the mind-wiping power of the Magicats, soon forgot. [
62]

To transform into her panther form, Catra would simply place the mask, formerly over her forehead,
over her eyes. A strange gas would be released from her body, allowing the change. [First in
01]
In this form, Catra would mantain the ability to speak, but would be gifted with the power of
formidible strength.

Following Adora's departure from the Horde, Catra was made Force Captain of the Horde
[reference in
06, first in 07], commanding Mantenna, Leech, Grizzlor, Scorpia [44] and occasionally
Rattlor to do her bidding. [
10] This position would be a constant reminder of Catra's authority
throughout the series; she would only once be given a different title as Force Commander. [
72]

Catra, like Shadow Weaver, had a few ventures into individual-villain roles, showing that Hordak
isn't necessarily her number one priority. [
28, 30, 54] She even took the time to attempt to
overthrow her master by betraying him to Skeletor [
51], something that Shadow Weaver too set out
to do. [
56] The two villainesses, however, do not share any kind of friendship, but will work
together if push comes to shove - a fact that also occurs with fellow Horde females Scorpia [
45]
and Entrapta. [
66]

Despite all their differences, the Hordesmen share one mutual feeling - the hatred of Imp. Catra
and Imp were the most feuding Horde couple in the entire She-Ra series, though Hordak would
always side with Imp over Catra. [
32, 44, 73] Horde villains were never really ones to experience
any romantic oppurtunities, but Catra is almost an exception. Although he would not have
accepted her offer, Catra clearly showed an attraction to Sea Hawk [
07], something that Adora
would greatly oppose. It would seem that this, along with his treachery to the Horde, would inspire
Catra to create a hatred for him too and even set a personal trap for the Hawk and Adora. [
16]

Finally, perhaps the most unknown fact about Catra is her ability to teleport [66] - perhaps another
power granted by her intruging mask? The answer is unknown.

Clawdeen is Catra's pet.

Clawdeen's one appearance in the She-Ra series revealed little about her. We know she is
Catra's pet and that she is based at what appears to be Catra's Tree-Plex from an early
Princess of Power Mini-comic, but little else.

She was used in the second season to scare the Rebels into Cage-Mines so they could be
captured by the Horde, who in the end, got away with Peekablue. She vanished after Bow trapped
her in a Cage Mine, though Clawdeen and Catra in her cat-form did seem to make a powerful
team when working together. [
