Dylamug is a vicious Horde cyborg.

Believe it or not, the rarity that is Dylamug was the first villain to appear in the She-Ra series,
if the parts of The Sword Of She-Ra are discounted. Leading a band of Horde Troopers to
collect taxes and the like from a village, [06] it was almost as if he is part of some sort of Robot-
hierarchy. However, the series soon cast a blind eye at Dylamug and his two further appearances
would be brief at best.

This premier for the character also established him as a malevolent, heartless villain, almost
on a par with Hordak in his early appearances. Although his attempt to 'pie' a young girl backfired,
the intention was still there - so he seemed not to care who his victims were, as long as they
ended up bowing to the Horde. Later in the episode, his voice was altered slightly by Lou Scheimer,
so he sounded just like another one of Hordak's Troopers. His third speaking-part not only provided
him with a different voice, but also a comepletely changed character. In late Season Two, he was
shown teaming up with Grizzlor to capture Orko's shadow which escaped and was running loose at
Horror Hall. Dylamug showed a particular amount of fear of Shadow Weaver, like some of the other Horde
henchmen, and was also portrayed as a dunce, like Leech. However, this appearance does do something
positive for him - when being told of one of Grizzlor's fates as a result of failing at the hands of
Shadow Weaver, the writer at least recognises him as not being one of the regular cast of villains, judging
by his reaction. [

His powers seemed pretty sparse. Expressed in but one episode, Dylamug was granted the
ability to shoot laser-beams from the oversized Horde symbol on his forehead, powerful
enough to stun She-Ra. [
06] So, whilst being sparse and therefore easily forgettable, the power
of Dylamug was by no means unimpressive.

The final piece of information from this incredibly undeveloped and unexplored character is fairly
simple - which character can be noted for his/her uncannily creepy smile? The answer: Dylamug, and
Dylamug alone.
