She-Ra Princess of Power: The Evil Horde
Tung Lashor
First seen in the episode "Enchanted Castle"

Tung Lashor is a Snake-Man, aiding Hordak and the Evil Horde.

Though Tung Lashor was originally intended to be part of the Snake Men, along with Rattlor,
pitted against He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on Eternia, Filmation gave him the role as
an occasional addition to Hordak's arsenal of evil-doers on Etheria.

Seemingly as a tribute to his original roots, Tung Lashor was occasionally seen as a partner in
crime with Rattlor. [
19, 26] However, each of the Snake Men, when showcased, were just as
pathetic in battle as the other one and so making easy battles for She-Ra.

Another similarity between the two is their assistance to villain ranks. Filmation could never
decide where they belonged - primarily members of King Hiss' clan, the Snake Men, then
transferred to the Evil Horde and finally seen amongst Skeletor's cronies. However, this was less
obvious when Rattlor, a villain without a Horde emblem, appeared with old Bone Brain [
He-Man
and She-Ra: A Christmas Special
] than it was with Tung Lashor who suddenly popped up in
Snake Mountain, proudly sporting his Evil Horde symbol! [
35]

The confusion surrounding his changed-allegiance isn't where our perplexity ends. To throw us
even further, Tung Lashor, to give him his full title, is the only character to be given different names
by different characters. One episode forbade him an identity, [
18] and whereas Skeletor announced
him as 'Tung Lash' [
34], Hordak, on two separate occasions, used either his full name or Tung, [26]
a possible nick-name. It seems strange that such a minute character could have so many paths,
but Tung Lashor achieves this without any question whatsoever.

His prime ability was simply to use his tongue for absolutely any purpose that needed doing. From
useful ventures like capturing Madame Razz, [
43] to less useful ones such as cleaning Fright Zone
equipment and even operating machinery, Tung Lashor's tongue was often the source of comic
relief, especially when he got into a tangle with She-Ra. [
26]

Like Mantenna, he was also ridiculed by Hordak and Imp, but not to the extent of ending up in the
deepest depths of the Fright Zone swimming pool. Instead, they just seemed to give up on him
after his failures; his biggest of which easily being the inability to control a bunch of school-kids!

Finally, a pointless piece of trivia - notice how small Tung Lashor really is, losing approximately
twenty centimetres to Adora! [
