The "Hiller Helicopters" produced a series of jet propelled copters in early 1950-ies. The main feature of these machines was the location of two ramjet 8PJBC engines on the tips of the blades. Despite satisfactory flying characteristics, the production was terminated because of very limited endurance of only 20 minutes. A total of 14 machines was supplied to the US Army and 3 to the US Navy
