On September 11th, the nation turned to God to try to help us cope with a terrible tragedy. The nation prayed, the President acknowledged needing God's helping hand, and we all looked to a higher force to help us through a tragedy.
But as that day slowly fades into the background, into the back of our minds, so does the faith that put into God to bring us through it. We turn to God when we need help, but don't think twice of turning our back on Him later.
In times of war and not before, God and Soldier men adore. But in times of peace with all things righted, God is forgotten and the soldier slighted.
Now people even wants to take God out of our Pledge of Allegiance. How about the words "In God We Trust" on our currency, or The Supreme Court's  ceremonial opening `God save the United States and this honorable court?
Before you know it people will be banning the song "God Bless America" Maybe even the use of the phrase.
What kind of a patriot attacks the very foundation this nation was built upon? If you don't believe in God then that is your business. But respect the fact that the men that raised our wonderful country did, and that is why you have the freedom's that you do.
I know a lot of people do not agree with  my view point on this subject. But that is why we have freedom of speech and the right to speak our opinions. Please respect that as I respect your opinion.
