Item: Story about convoy with USCGC Campbell in WWII
I'm Roy Brown and I've written a book which includes a story about the Campbell during WWII. It's a true story...I was in the convoy it discusses and it should be of interest to all who served in the Coast Guard, especially aboard the Campbell.
You can see the book if you go to PublishAmerica.com.
If you are interested in any further information please let me know.
(Web Master Note: After you click PublishAmerica above, online Bookstore Tab at top of page Type: Roy Brown in Search: Click Search: You will get the books description page).
Web Master Note: This just in from Mike Walling, and I am really looking forward to his book coming out. If it is pre '04 Reunion I hope we can set up a book signing by the author. If not when we can, we should!
I want to pass along some good news. McGraw-Hill Publishing has given me a contract for my book about CAMPBELL and her sister ships in the Battle of the Atlantic from 1939 through 1944. Titled "The Bloodstained Sea", the book will be published in 2004. It's been a long haul and I want to thank each of you for your help so far. I hope that you will continue to help in me in the future as the work takes shape.
Michael is doing research on the Campbell. He is writting a book on the 327's.
Dear Burnham,
It's been a long time since I've written so here's an update on the book I am writting about the 327's.
The first two chapters are finished and I am working with a professional editor to get everything in shape for a publisher. I hope to have the work compleated by the end of January 2002. There is some research and a lot more interviews to do. But there is light at hte end of the tunnel.
Please pass this along to the CAMPBELL Association and, please post it on your *(great) website.Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Mike Walling

Your Staff, the guys that put things together for us, need your help. James would like your input with articals, ideas for articals, pictures and anything that will go into a newsletter. We would like more things from Campbell W909 too! When James gets things I will get them for our web site. But, I would like every one to e-mail with their names and e-mail addresses. And keep me updated when you change them or cancel them. I use your e-mail addresses to let you get updates between issues of the Newsletter. Except for someone in the To: Box, I send all messages by Bcc: Box as I am told no one can get ahold of an e-mail address that way, and hopefuly keep the SPAM away.
