Following two
years in Ft. Eustis, VA. with the Transportation Corp. as a post switch
board operator, I re-enlisted for six years and was lucky enough to be
sent to Germany to join Battery B, 519 Field Artillery at Sonthofen.
The Company was moved to Babenhousen in 1951. I was rotated to Ft.
Lewis WN. 129 INF. REG. in preparation for Korea. Lucky again, war in
Korea broke up. I was in the parade that passed in review for the Audie
Murphy movie "To Hell and Back". While there, I signed up to return to
Germany and was sent to Mannheim to the 34th AAA Brigade at Funeri
Barracks.
I was discharged March of 1956. I am now living in AZ. and a member of the United States Constabulary Association of Out Post 8.
