Come to Japan, but not with Nova

If you would like to come to Japan and have a year off playing around, then Japan can still be a fun place.  But why waste your time with Nova?  There are numerous other companies and jobs which will allow you to maximise your expereince.  Nova on the other hand will occupy way too much of your precious time, and most likely leave you with a sour taste in your mouth, (a sore ass), and a jaded view of Japan.

What you can expect from Nova:

1. No public holidays.
2. No paid time off for sickness.
3. Fines for being late. First time.
4. No union recognition.
5. No raise in the basic salary for for over 20 years.
6. No protection against sexual harrasment.
7. No bonuses (don't believe their misleading website).
8. Filthy carpets and conditions in most branchs.
9. Cheap black folding chairs to sit on for 8 periods a day.
10. A company which has consistently been taken to court  (and lost), yet still continues with its practices of exploitation.
11. Diplocrap: A ridiculous in-house textbook produced by people who have had no experience at producing textbooks (and believe grammar is unimportant).
12. Not allowed to use anything but the above in-house textbook in class.
13. Students put in different levels to save money.
14. No paid preparation time.
15. Off the clock between lessons to save the company paying national health and pension payments (yet still and expectation that you are availabe to work in that time).
16. A ridiculous student ability test called CAT; which is not recognized by anyone outside the fuckwits who produced it at Nova.
17. Rental accommodation scam.
18. Health insurance scam.
