Haruyoshi Horikoshi Seminar

The Aikido Association Atlanta held a wonderful seminar taught by Haruyoshi Horikoshi, 7th Dan Aikikai. He began training at Hosei University Aikido Club under Sadateru Arakawa (an original student of O¹Sensei, and is currently 9th Dan and instructor at Hombu dojo). Horikoshi Sensei taught for ten years in Taiwan, Canada, Sweden, Finland, and in California, and is now Dojo-Cho for Horikoshi dojos based in Kasukabe, Japan, located one hour north of Tokyo. Horikoshi Dojo is affiliated with Kobayashi dojos; Horikoshi Sensei currently serves as Overseas Affairs Director for Kobayashi Dojos. Horikoshi Sensei has been practicing Aikido over 40 years.

Horikoshi sensei isn't that well known to people. I saw him at 1997. After the class I grabbed his wrist and he slightly shakes his wrist and then I fell down on the mat. One of my dojo mates also tried him and he also fell down like me. We didn't know what happened. I still don't know. But it's so sure that his Kokyu or Ki is really amazing. If you live in that area, I strongly recommend you to join the seminar.
