CVW-7 Code of Conduct and Rules and Regulations
(rough draft)
We have a very proud tradition IRL. So to honor the men and women who have served and still do to this day, we do our best to emulate them. Our troops do their level best every day to serve our country by risking their lives. With that being said, thank you to all that have served and still do to this day for all you have given up for us. Your sacrifice has allowed us to remain free and honor our heroes by doing our best to imitate them here in our world.
The primary mission of any sim squad is to have fun. We encourage fun at all times and actually have some ourselves. It is with that in mind that we have laid down the “rules” so that we all may enjoy each others company and a gratifying time at the stick for all.
The staff and officers of the CVW-7 have chosen to start a group of sim pilots whose technical abilities are only exceeded by their honor and integrity as humans in the real world. We strive to surround ourselves with those who seek a place to enjoy the fun of sharing a sim with people who enjoy it as close to reality as it gets without getting grease on their hands and powder burns on their tails. It is with these goals in mind we set forth this COC. Let it stand as a collective testament of our will and the feelings in our hearts.
At the CVW-7 you will find a very courteous and dedicated membership in which you are welcomed and encouraged to share your passions as we do with you. We all have a love of the games we play and the honor that it based on the men and women that have joined us to share such things in a realistic simulation of military brinkmanship and attitude. In addition the people you will find in leadership are not necessarily the best pilots according to rank, but are very good folks to deal with. Promotion here is not based on your sim skills but based 3 things, time, character and dedication. Those in higher positions have spent the time to get to know us, have the character and honor we all share and have spent the bulk of their time serving the membership.
With that being said, our pilots are no slouches. We have some of the toughest standards for competency in the entire sim world that we have seen. You will be challenged, you will be tried and you will be fully entertained, or you will be gone. We will challenge you to your maximum each and every mission and will reward your performance accordingly. In addition we will also spend the time to train you where you need help and when you need help. Honor includes the caring of your own which is each of our primary missions. We can give you the skills you need to survive in the air in combat, but we cannot give someone character and honor. Those traits you must posses prior to applying to our squad. Without that intact, you will not last here nor will you enjoy our company. This squad is not for everyone. But no matter your choice we wish you the best and we hope your stay here will be just as fulfilling to you as it is for us.
The rules listed below are just a guideline for the kind of conduct we expect from our members they are applied to all of us equally and fairly. They are not there to restrict or limit our fun in any way whatsoever, but they are there to enhance what we deem to be a realistic adventure. The officers over you may or may not be actual military officers but, they are there to help. Basically, the higher the rank, the more you will serve the squad. We may adhere to a code of “following the chain of command” but any officer will be able to assist you in your search for whatever it is you may need. The respect you give your “higher ups” is for all the work they do for you.
1. No member, while in uniform, shall use profanity or racially/sexually oriented slurs of ANY KIND.
