Women Abused

I have felt through all of this
The sweet essence of my angels
Through great pain and tears
I thought I walked alone

I ran...
Searching for the face of God
And entered His house
Hoping He would be there
Seeking to find
What I had done to deserve such despair
I asked, "Why me O' God?
My children carry this cross with me!"

"Why this cup
That crushes my soul?
Some take their lives here
Others kill eachother!
I deserved this... I am so afraid.."
And the angels carried His voice
To my pew

I DID NOT GIVE YOU THIS CUP, MY CHILD
MAN GAVE IT TO YOU
DO NOT FEAR THEM...
STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH
YOUR COURAGE
DON'T YOU KNOW I AM GOD?
I AM GOD WHO DRIED UP THE RED SEAS
WHO DESCENDED YOU FROM ABRAHAM

WHO ARE THEY THAT YOU SHOULD FEAR?
HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN--I AM GOD?
THEY ARE "MERE MAN"
WHO WILL PERISH LIKE A BLADE OF GRASS

I DID NOT GIVE YOU THIS CUP
I WILL TAKE IT FROM YOU
AND GIVE IT BACK TO THEM

AND YOU WILL REJOICE
THAT I AM YOUR GOD
WHO DELIVERS YOU FROM ALL EVIL

GET UP--
STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART
IN MY PROMISES
And the angels dried my tears
As I exited His house.

Clothe yourselves in courage
And faith
What is pleasurable to man
Is detestable in the sight of God
"You are never alone..."
