OK, now this HAS to end. This is total crap now. On the radio out here in the midwest (which is just completely messed up to start with) The country radio station is going just TO far. They now have this on going 'fund' for people like you and me to donate money, OUR hard earned money to send people like Toby Keith and other country singers overseas to entertain the troops.
Ok, dont get me wrong, I think its a great thing, and a very important for people from the US to go over and talk to the troops, tell jokes, sing etc. But did Bob Hope ever ask us to donate money so he could go over there year after year? I dont even remember hearing him ask.
Why is it that these singers who are selling tens and hundreds of thousands of cd's time and time again, so poor that they need US to send them to Iraq? If they are that poor, i dont think they need to be going to Iraq to sing, i think they need to fire their accountant and find a new one, because someone is spending all their money. If they do have tons of money (which i expect they do since they have all these tour buses, and nice homes etc) then why in the HELL should we have to pay for them to go to Iraq?
If charging us for cd's that "support the troops" isnt bad enough because all it supports is their fat asses (ya Toby.. yours) now we have to pay thousands of dollars so they can sing. Hmmm, now let me see.. Why should people who make $6.00/hr or $16.00/hr or even $36.00/hr have to pay for this. If they want to go.. GO.. pay for it yourself. If the government wants it, then they should pay for it.. God knows Bush is pocketing enough money, and paying people tons of money for doing nothing, why not pay for there people to go over there... At least then the money would go to some good use....
After this farse they called an election was over, we really saw how far up Bush's ass all these midwest people really are. You have NO IDEA what or how Kerry would of done about Iraq (being Iraq had NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11 anyway). All you idiots saw was the name Heinz and freaked because Teresa's little pinky was worth more than 90% of america will ever make. THINK people.. If you have a president in office that has more money than GOD, do you really think he is going to let the economy FALL? They could lose it all. Their money comes from consumers, where bush's comes from illegal deals with terrorists overseas.. He doesnt care, in the next 4 years he is going to drive this country so far into debt and depression it will take the next few generations of children to get us out, and by then all you old freaks that voted for Bush will be long dead.... What do you care that you doomed your kids to a crappy life..
All I know is i can not wait until my generation (X) gets into office. 10 more years, and this country will start to see a major turn around. But by then it wont do alot of my friends any good, nor me probably, iI'l be in my 40's and have 20 yrs to try to come up with a 401K i can actually LIVE off of since social security will be a thing of the past. (Another thing that Idiot Bush can be thanked for)
