Master Chief Robbie Robinson was born in Raleigh, Mississippi on 19 February 1957. He graduated from Pascagoula High School, Pascagoula, MS, December 1975.
Robbies personal awards include four Navy Commendation Medal s and four Navy Achievement Medals.
In looking at Robbies qualifications above, do you get the feeling he knows a thing or two about Fast Attack Submarines?
Also seems as of 1/2001 he knows his way around airplanes as well .
*** When I served with Robbie on the Atlanta, I was a nub RM3 and he was a seasoned ET2(SS) having come over from the Los Angeles. A good many from that boat came to the Atlanta, and how did we know? Cause they wouldn't let us forget.
A lot of them started off the conversations with; "The way we did things on the use-ta fish was...).
Being a newly and barely qualified RMOW (Radioman of the Watch) Robbie was placed as ESM of the watch with me in the same space.
Without his help I would have been disqualified toot sweet, as when I had a problem he would kindly remind me to check certain things in radio in order that I would be "In Sync" when we reached periscope depth. If ever there was a person made for the navy it is Robbie, while on the Atlanta at least he could do no wrong.
So I thank him for his time and patience, as I learned from him. He used to hound me about changing my Yamaha for a "real" motorcycle; a Harley.
Well his nagging worked as it only took me 21 years to take the leap and purchase one, and you know...he was right.
Harley's...there ain't no substitute.
