USS Borie Memorial Home Page
This page was created to memoralize the officers and enlisted members of the Destroyer Escort USS Borie which sank in battle against the German submarine U-405 on November 1, 1943. Most of the men on this ship were Naval Reservists assigned to the 24th Naval Division, 7th Battalion. They performed their Reserve duty on the USS Newton docked in Jersey City, New Jersey.
