When not on duty, he plays his mandolin in both contemporary and traditional Andorian ballad styles. He is very much like an ancient Terran “Swashbuckler” or musketeer. His interests in the finer/softer aspects in life are tempered by his physical training and love of MartialArts and duelling both conventional and traditional Andorian methods. His friendly nature is forced to help control a very “molten” Andorian temper. Willing to lend a hand at any time, his honour and the honour of his Keth are held most dear and will within the rules of Ushann claim his right to “satisfaction” should the situation arise. Personality: Turath is very outgoing and friendly when off duty but strictly serious when on duty. His “Bardish” nature and what some call good looks have gotten him in as much trouble as it has been a benefit. His racial and personal codes of honour compel him to take interest and “stick his nose and antenna in” situations that he sees as “unjust”. A Bajorian constable when releasing Turath from custody remarked about him being a “blue” Paladin at heart. Personal History: Turath was born one of twins into the G’lish family branch of the Keth (clan) Idrani. Turath and his twin sister fought like Grill from day one. Turath also has an adopted human brother by the name of Luther Fry. Luther and Turath are as close as biological brothers and as children drove their sister absolutely insane. When he was of age, Turath completed the Idrani right of passage and became a warrior and hunter of the Keth. He was fourteen at the time. Though his first love was music, Turath was fairly good when it came to the other aspects of his education. He was how ever a true Andorian when it came to the Martial sciences. In these he too excelled. He had hoped that his brother Luther and he would enrol together in the Andorian Defence Force and was heart broken his brother decided on Federation service with the SFMC. While attending the ADF’s Military Institute, Turath choose the Tactical/Security Branch and the minor path of Planetary Combat Command. It was here at the Institute that Turath’s instinctual stealth and quick thinking came to the attention of the command staff, which noted this in his permanent record. Turath’s first posting were to the tactical departments of vessels serving with the Andorian Astronomical Survey. Showing his leadership and tactical abilities on a number of exploratory away missions and in the defence of his assigned vessels. Turath was selected and posted to the security detail for the Andorian Embassy to the UFP on Earth. After some incidents occurred involving the security of the Andorian representative, Turath was commended and given a choice of assignments. He chose to further his service in the Planetary Ground Forces Command. After further training he was posted to the 27th Lancer Regiment and then posted as ships troops aboard a ADF warship. Turath’s superiors recommended him for special consideration by Defence Force command. Upon evaluation, Turath was vetted and accepted into the Andorian Defence Force’s Special Operations and Tactics school for Kaat Tlanu (Night Hunter) training. The Kaat Tlanu are equivalent to Rangers/Commando troops. They are Special Operations troops that carryout a wide spectrum of missions. During the recent Klingon conflict and the following Dominion War, Andoria put a large portion of its independent defence forces directly under Starfleet command. Turath’s unit was deployed deep in Klingon territory where it conducted operations against Klingon supply lines and logistic facilities. Right after which with the start of the Dominion War, his unit was pressed into the same role.
