Biography:
Hollis Caley was born in the Bahku district of Bajor during the end of the
occupation. The Bahku district is remote and mountainous known only for the production of semi-precious gems. While it was governed by Cardasains during the
occupation, it did not see the same level of brutality as other parts of
Bajor. He came to adulthood after the restoration of Bajoran freedom.
Entering his teens Hollis attended a retreat at the Chalaud monastery. He
spent a month helping in its hospice and became inspired to become a Vedic.
On graduation from the local citizens forum (read as high school) he
petitioned the Chalaud monastery and was accepted

Personality:
Captain Hollis tends to be polite and formal. Deeply faithful Hollis, an ordained Vedec, is devoted to peace and healing. Yet, Hollis is capable of remaining resolute in the face of overt threats, and taking the necessary steps to assure peace.

Father: Hollis Ramsden
Hollis Ramsden is a farmer in the Bathku district of Bajor; a remote and wild land. Unremarkable.
Mother: Wyn Corey
Wyn Corey was a minor elected representative of the Bajoran Parliament before the Cardassian occupation. She fled the Bathku to escape arrest and deportation; spending the duration of the war in hiding. Most of Wyn's family was killed in the occupation. During this time, she married Hollis Ramsden, a local farmer, and bore two children. Wyn ran for election after Bajor was liberated, but she died on the eve of the election of natural causes.

Born three years after Calley, she married a local gem trader.
Mentor: Morven Kevyn
Morven Kevyn is a middle-aged priest at the Chalaud monastery. Well-known in the areas a holy man and physician, he is also a member of the Vedic counsel.
Hollis is very close to him, and it was Morven who instructed Hollis to join Starfleet, saying it was the will of the Prophets.
Hobbies and Interests:
Hollis tends to immerse himself in his vocation. But, does have a long standing interest in plant life. (See secondary training.) The Captain also collect wine and tapestries. He keeps trying to renew his boyhood pastime of mountain climbing, but still has not had time to peruse it seriously.
