It quickly becomes apparent that Section 31, a rogue agency within Starfleet is responsible for the plague, which was mutated to cause harmful effects to Romulans. What's more an agent has infiltrated the ship, and sabotaged the the transporter systems, as well as the computer core... "INFECTION Part 2" * OD02 * Page 23 * Stardate 56870.52 With the Section 31 agent captured, the crew has repaired the computer core and are making strides toward fixing the tranporter systems. After a few stressful hours they encounter a small Romulan Fleet also seeking to find the ship Section 31 stole. Riov H'vaid comes aboard the Odyssey as a guide, to prevent any other misunderstanding while in Romulan space. The next day the ship tracks down the Romulan craft and manage to destroy it with the help of Cheif Engineer Grant Chamnerlain's last minute modifications to the Nanites in the computer system. The ninites we're emplanted in a photon torpedo and rammed into the hull of the Romulan ship, where they sought out the ships Phasic Torpedos and detonated them. A few hours later, Doctor Bomar finally found a vaccine to the Plague that would pretect the Romulans. However after tranmitting the data to Riov L'tan's ship, the Romulan Captain attempted to have him killed. Thanks to some fast work by Ensign Terry Clem, his death was prevented, but he was still cast into exile for supporting the losing side in what may have been a small civil war on Romulus. The Odyssey leaves Romulan Space and sets course for Starbase 24 to conduct repairs. "THE BREECH" * OD03 * Page 41 * Stardate 56877.31 The Odyssey arrives at Starbase 24 for some repairs after it's first mission into Romulan Space. While Chief Engineer Chamberlain and Lt. Aenghus work on repairs, and share stories of their pasts. Meanwhile the Doctor is surprised to find an old flame, and the Admiral sends an Commander Dracones on a small personal mission to find an old friend.
