3.2 For Explorer 4.0 or higher |
Actually IE 5.0 will should work properly for the Thai page that decoded
as window-874. Beside, IE 5.0 is smart enough to download Thai font from
Microsoft website by itself.
How to do that ? Well, just visit some page that contain Thai encoder
meta tag for example : www.mcot.or.th then IE will ask you if you want
to get Thai font.
Well, for some Thai page which decoded with other way, IE may not be
able to choose the Thai font. So, you may have to FORCE the IE to select
Thai decoding by the following steps. (make sure that IE already have Thai
font)
-
3.2.1 Goto View -> Encoding
-
3.2.2 Select Thai (Window)
-
or while you on that page, do right click to see the options and select
Encoding
|
And if your IE is older than 5.0 you may have to
do this (make sure you installed Thai font) |
-
3.3.1 Goto View -> Option-> Encoding
-
3.3.2 Select Western
-
3.3.3 Goto Tools -> Internet Options
-
3.3.4 Click at Fonts...
-
3.3.5 Select font for Western decoding to be "DBThaiText" and DB "ThatTextFixed"
|
4. Select the font coding for Thai page |
For Netscape |
-
4.1.1 Go to Thai Language page
-
4.1.2 select View -> Character set -> Western
-
4.1.3 Reload the page or
-
4.1.8 if it not work change Character set to Uesr
defined.
|
For Internet Explorer |
-
4.2.1 Back to the page. (and you may need to)
-
4.2.2 Refresh the page.

it ?? Have to change the font or adjust the font size..
Hm.. try it yourself, I will tell you my way when I have time.. (and
mood)
