BIO BY 'i-D DECADE OF IDEAS'
from Cordwainer's college in '84 he created everything
from gold tractor-soled traning shoes to high heeled
commando-soled stilettoes for men and women, known as
the creator of the square toed sneaker, he also worked
as consultant for Vivienne westwood. In '87 he set up
the House of Beauty & Culture with Christopher Nemeth,
Richard Torry (knits) and Judy Blame (jewelry) to
showcase their work before dying of an accidental over
dose at the beginning of '89. His former assistant Ian
Reid continued to produce limited editions at the shop.
