Piney Point Lighthouse

Located on the Potomac River upriver from Point Lookout
in The State of Maryland.

ACCESSABLE TO THE PUBLIC (exterior only)

Although this light is in Maryland, it is important for boats entering or leaving Virginia.

This lighthouse was built in 1836. After being deactivated in 1964 it was turned into a museum. The museum depicts the story of the Potomac River lighthouses.
