I am especially well-practiced with computers: since 1987 I have learned and worked in various platforms, operating systems and applications.
In 1995-1998, I studied translation and English at the University of Latvia, where I even took simultaneous interpretation classes in order to test my fluency.

I participate in the creation and approval of new technical terms in the Latvian language, while acting as a member of the Information Technology Terminology Subcommittee of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.
I am accredited as a contributor to the newest Latvian Information Technology dictionary (printed in 2001).
In 1999, I published an article in Latvian, Machine translation trends. In particular online businesses would want to use automated (that is, computerized) translation services, but their quality and coverage of various subject matter remains limited.
Alongside with the translation work, I have written several dozen articles about information technology, modern communications, corporate culture and the Internet - for specialized press, national dailies and business magazines.
It was simply logical that I became a technical linguist: I have been enthusiastic about languages since a young age.
