Après une adolescence perturbée, Demi Moore abandonne ses études pour poser dans quelques magazines. Elle commence ensuite une carrière de comédienne en apparaissant pour la première fois à l'écran en 1981 dans Choices, un drame de Silvio Narizzano, et dans la série télévisée General hospital. Trois ans plus tard, elle incarne la fille de Michael Caine dans C'est la faute à Rio (1984) de Stanley Donen, remake américain d'Un moment d'égarement. Joseph Bologna, seconde vedette masculine du film, la choisit alors pour interpréter sa fille dans le téléfilm Bedrooms.
Tout en cherchant à se débarrasser de sa dépendance pour la cocaïne, Demi Moore donne à deux reprises la réplique à Rob Lowe dans les romances St. Elmor's fire (1985) et A propos d'hier soir (1986). Elle interprète ensuite, face à Robert De Niro, une jeune mère célibataire dans la comédie Nous ne sommes pas des anges (1989), avant de connaître la consécration internationale grâce à son rôle de compagne endeuillée dans le drame fantastique Ghost (1990).
Dès lors, son charmant minois ne passe plus inaperçu. Mariée à une autre star montante, Bruce Willis, elle lui donne la réplique en 1991 dans Pensées mortelles, un thriller d'Alan Rudolph. Sex symbol des années 90, elle incarne une juriste militaire face à Tom Cruise dans Des hommes d'honneur (1992), accepte une Proposition indécente (1993) de la part de Robert Redford et va même jusqu'à "violer" Michael Douglas dans Harcèlement (1994).
A ces succès commerciaux succède une série d'échecs parmi lesquels Souvenirs d'un été (1995) de Lesli Linka Glatter, Les Amants du nouveau monde (1996) de Roland Joffé et le thriller La Jurée (id.) avec Alec Baldwin. Ses prestations d'effeuilleuse sexy dans Striptease (id.) et de guerrière au caractère trempé dans A armes égales (1997) ne peuvent conjurer le mauvais sort qui s'acharne sur elle.
1998 reste une année noire pour Demi Moore. Sa mère décède d'un cancer et sa séparation avec Bruce Willis défraye la chronique. L'actrice se fait alors plus rare sur les écrans, interprétant une femme à la double vie dans l'intimiste D'un rêve à l'autre (2000) d'Alain Berliner. Parallèlement, elle produit, via Moving Pictures, la société qu'elle a fondée en 1993, la saga Austin Powers.
En 2003, Demi Moore signe son grand retour en tant qu'actrice en affrontant Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz et Lucy Liu dans Charlie's angels - les anges se déchaînent de McG.

Demi Moore (born Demi Gene Guynes), daughter of Charles Harmon (employed in the US airforce) and Virginia Guynes (they were married for only 2 month). Demi were born on November 11 1962, in Roswell, New Mexico, USA.
Her mother later remarried, with newspaper ad salesman Danny Guynes, and they got Demis halfbrother Morgan Guynes. Demi also has a halfbrother on her farthers side, James Craig Harmon,
14 year old she discoverd that Danny Guynes was not her biological father. Short after the discovery, Danny Guynes toke his own life. After her stepfathers suicide, the rest of the family moved to Los Angeles, where Demi,
16 years old, she left school, and started to work as a pin-up model in Europe (thats why there is so many nude pictures of her in a young age). he got her first plastic surgery, as a teenager, when her right eye where corrected, later she should have gotten: larger breast, her stomach, butt and hips done.
In 1978 Demi Moore met rockmusician Freddy Moore (Frederick George Moore), and took Moore as her sirname, they got married in 1980. Demi and Freddy wrote the lyric to "It's Not A Rumour"(1979) listen to it in mp3 and the music and lyric to "Changing" and "Heat", they divorced in 1985. In some biografies, it has been mentioned, that Freddy should be english, but according to he was born and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He had an acting role with Demi in the movie "Parasite" (1979), and wrote "Show A Little Emotion" to the moviesoundtrack. In 1982 Demi got a role in the tv-serie "General Hospital". The rising popularity, brought some very unfortunately consequences. She began using drugs and alcohol, perhaps a result of her upbringing, where the family moved around a lot, where poor and her parents had some abuse problems. The movie "St. Elmo's Fire" was Demis great breakthrough, both in regard to her career, and especially in her fight against her abuse. The filmcompany demanded that Demi signed a contract, in which she were obligated to stop her alcohol- and drugabuse, if she wanted to continue in the role as the cocaine addicted Jules. "St. Elmo's Fire" brought Demi together with Emilio Estevez , they were together for shorter and longer times, the following three years. According to the Cosmopolitan, Demi should have told, that Emilio was her first REAL love.
On november 21 1987 Demi married for the second time, this time with fellow actor Bruce Willis, with whom she has three daughters, who has all been in different movies, but only in movies where either of their parents had a part.
Rumer Glenn Willis (16/8-1988) she played Demis daughter "Angela" in "Striptease", "Willa Glen" in "Now and Then" and had an uncredited role in "The Whole Nine Yards"

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were separatet 24/6-98. October 2000 the couple got their official divorce. But they seems to get along very well

Since april 2003 she's been daiting the 15 year younger acter Ashton Kutcher, known from among other things "That 70's show" and the MTV show "Punk'd"
Demi's comeback and stories about her and her new love, made so many headlines, that her co-actresses in CA-2 should have said, that she took the attention away from the movie.... And that it was the reason that it was not that blockbuster succes that was expected.
Demis mother Virginia Guynes died from cancer july 3. 1998 only 54 years old. She had lived a tough life, on drugs and alcohol, and were among other things convicted for drunk driving and arson. She took any means to earn money on her famous daugther, as an example she posed nude (1993) in the magazine High Society, she even sold gossip about her daughter to different magazines.
Demi had, without any luck, tried to get her mother off the drugs, but when she did´nt succeed, she broke off the connection for a long time. It was not until christmas 1997, after hearing about her mothers cancer, she reconnected with her mother.
