Approximately four and a half years ago I started to look for a smaller dog with similar traits to a Boxer. I needed a smaller breed to grow old with. I wanted a dog that was clean, short haired, full of life and comical. It had to be devoted to its family and look similar in type to a Boxer. I found the Boston Terrier and fell in love with this breed. They are so very compatible with my beloved Boxers. The next problem was to find a quality bitch to start out with. No easy task as most breeders had a long waiting list. Two and a half years ago Jean Hayes of Eclipse Kennel decided to let me have a little girl we called Dotty, CH ECLIPES SISTER ACT OF VANNASSAU. She has turned out to be everything that I wanted in a pet, show dog and a companion for my Boxers. Dotty finished her Championship quickly totally enjoying every minute of being in the ring strutting her stuff. She was bred to one of Donna Coles males, Bailey, of Rodonna Kennel, and produced four beautiful girls. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these girls grow into fine specimens of the breed, Dotty recently had her second litter sired by "Indi" one of Teresa Brereton's males. Indi has produced some very fine puppies that have been doing very well in the show ring. I am sure Dotty's get will produce many fine Champions. Dotty's off spring will be the foundation of what I produce in the future. I am striving to build a reputation for breeding and showing healthy, happy Boston Terriers of high quality. |
