ITEMS TO TAKE WITH YOU ON YOUR TRIP:

1.-A Good camera, extra batteries, and plenty of film.

2.-Spanish phrase books and/or tiny dictionaries.

3.-A small flashlight.

4.-A credit card size calculator.

5.-Medical Kit (Consult Lonely Planet guide and doctor for contents): keep prescribed medications in their original containers with readable labels.

6.-Bring vitamin pills(if you normally take then), moisturizer for your skin, good sunscreen and insect repellents.

TO GIVE AWAY:Bring aspirins, painkillers -paracetemol, Tylenol etc. Multivitamins for the kids, vitamin E for the women, they suffer lot with breast lumps and vitamin E breaks them down. Singer sewing machine needles are like gold dust- the heavy duty ones for sewing leather- lots of Cubans make shoes at home. Medicines and dollars!!

7.-Visitors need to save $ 25 USD for a Cuban exit fee, payable when you leave the airport.

8.-For solo travellers:you can buy a waterproof moneybelt for swimming with: no need to leave valuables on the beach.

9.-Ear plugs for sleeping in noisy areas and on bus/train/plane.

10.-A hat for protection from the sun or rain.

12.-Friends & family´s home addresses and e-mail addresses.

13.-Photographs of family members, always nice to show to people who are interested in your life back home.
